2025 Silver Skate 50/50

  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in Alberta.

    Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

  2. 2. 50/50

    1 for $5.00; 2000 tickets
    3 for $10.00; 3000 tickets

    The 50/50 is a draw where the money received in ticket sales is divided evenly between the winner and the charity.

    Maximum 50/50 payout will be $10,000.00.

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: February 16, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. MST

    Draw
    50/50 draw: February 17, 2025 at 12:00:00 p.m. MST

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    Draw will be held at 10212 112 St NW, Edmonton AB T5K 1M4

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All ticket holders are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://silverskate.rafflenexus.com/winners on February 17, 2025.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Silver Skate Festival Society.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Silver Skate Festival Society or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy

    Silver Skate Festival Society does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  6. 6. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: office@silverskate.ca. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  7. 7. Other

    Please email our team at office@silverskate.ca should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

The Silver Skate Festival offers FREE theatre, music, snow sculptures, fire sculptures, registered winter races, winter cinema, recreational, cultural activities, demonstrations and activities by our community members. All of our programming celebrates winter stories, including those of our neighbours and friends as well as our long standing relationships with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, cultural groups and organizations enriching our communities. Because the festival attracts people from all walks of life who are drawn to it for various reasons, the festival serves as a meeting ground for people to discover new things. As the festival is free to attend, it allows everyone to experience winter activities regardless of income.

After Creating Winter Experiences for Edmontonians for nearly 35 years, Silver Skate Festival is at risk of shutting down. One of Silver Skate Festival’s largest grants has been cut by 70% in the last three years. Overall, we’ve seen a decrease in grant funding across the board. These cuts come amidst increased attendance (which we love! but need support keeping up with), additional infrastructure needs and rising inflation.
